Placebo "Teenage Angst"

Written by Brian Molko, Stefan Olsdal and Robert Schultzberg, from "Placebo" (1996)
Tabbed by Stefan Hauschildt at 100272.617@compuserve.com or http://ourworld.compuserve.com/homepages/mnmol
Their debut album is really cool, and this song is kind of nice and I guess rather cynical than depressive.
It's also not very hard so I tabbed it. The only problem I have is that the CD doesn't come with the lyrics
printed so I had to work it out myself at first, but fortunately hlimper@pi.net came up with a better version
later so now it's quite right, please write to me if you think there are any corrections left to be done!
Anyway, I'll leave you to "Teenage Angst" now.
Tuning:
standard
Chords:
         E A D G B E
A#add2 - X X 8 7 6 8
A#     - X X 8 7 6 6
D#maj7 - X X 8 8 8 10
D#6    - X X 8 8 8 8
G#     - 4 6 6 5 4 4
Gm     - 3 5 5 3 3 3
F      - 1 3 3 2 1 1
Instead of playing A# (or D#) for 4 (2) measures, Brian jumps between A#add2 and A# (D#maj7 and D#6) a couple of
times before before skipping to the next chord. Those who know the song will know what I mean, I hope. So I worked
out these figures so it's easier to read above the lyrics (with all the jumps that would be tough). You should get
famliar with these first by playing them alone first to see how they're actually used later:
Figure 1 (A#-Fig):
A#add2 A# A#add2 A#
Figure 2 (D#-Fig):
D#maj7 D#6 D#maj7 D#6 G#
Intro:
A#-Fig A#-Fig
Verse 1 (band in):
A#-Fig                                     A#-Fig
Shine the headlight straight into my eye, like the roadkill I'm paralised
D#-Fig                       A#
       You see through my disguise
A#-Fig                                   A#-Fig                              D#-Fig                       A#
At the drive-in a double feature,        pull the lever break the feve - her and say your last goodbye
Chorus:
      Gm           F            A#
Since I was born I started to decay
    Gm           F            A#
Now nothing ever ever goes my way
Verse 2:
A#-Fig                                        A#-Fig                          D#-Fig                 A#
One fluid gesture like stepping back in time, trapped in amber, petrified, and still not satisfied
A#-Fig                                            A#-Fig                                                  D#-Fig
Airs and social graces elecution so divine        I'll stick to my needle and my favorite waste of time
                      A#
Both spineless and sublime
