The Adventures of the Galaxy Rangers

In this sort of western-ized take on Saber Rider and the Star Sheriffs, both in the sense of the Wild West and less of an anime look, and also minus the huge mecha robot and plus a bunch of potentially bad-ass alien races, trouble is never too far off for Zach, Goose, Nico, and Doc, and possibly robot sidekick Buzzwang. Of course they readily take on the task of saving the universe from diverse threats on a regular basis, employing their superpowers whenever they come in handy - bionic strength, gunslinger skills, some sort of telepathy, and expertise in technicianship, respectively. Think back to the late '80s, and warp ahead to this mélange of Star Wars and a bearable spaghetti western offering a, time-and-again, pretty great soundtrack.

No Guts, No Glory (Opening Theme Song) "These are the adventures of the Galaxy Rangers!" Some then-applicable synthesizers, subdued hard-rock guitars, and a singer who sounds like he's in it for more than just the money, all shape this theme song to catapult you into the Rangers' universe. Anyone who's seen the intro will possibly understand the appeal. comment lyrics, chords, guitar tablature
Rangers Are Forever (Ending Theme Song) Possibly, this tune here is even a tad more exciting than the above main theme. Just expect even more guitars, a pretty predominant kitschy synthesizer probably stolen from an '80s hard rock combo, and some respectable songwriting, to leave a definitely lingering impression when you've sat through another episode. comment lyrics, chords, guitar tablature
Psychocrystal This one only appeared within an episode - actually, a band is really playing this in it. If you've even got a faint weakness for highspeed metal-inspired '80s-style guitar pop, don't fail to give it a try - my version was actually pieced together carefully from several fragments to compile this full-length hard-rockin' song. comment, chords -
Out Beyond the Stars Finally, it's time for a balladesque tune, which in fact only appeared within the episodes as well. The MIDI is based on listenable fragments that could be extracted, which possibly aren't all there's to it, but nevertheless, get ready for a three-part slower tune - of course, the rock guitars weren't abandoned. comment lyrics, chords, guitar tablature
